Review: MAYBELLINE, COLOURETTE, AND REVLON LIPPIES!

Hi, guys! It might seem unusual but I honestly don't like hoarding lip products. I want to keep my stash as minimal as possible. That's why when I realized I have 5 of them, I was a little bit overwhelmed HAHAHA! I don't usually like bold colors since my go-to palette is the nude palette. I made an exception for a bold and rich red color from Maybelline solely just for making authentic gradient lip looks.

Note: Some of these products were given to me. Tbh most of the make up products I use are given to me by relatives HAHAHA

Anyway, let's get started!
These lippies are all available at your leading department stores!

Packaging:
Maybelline Velvet Matte Lip Color Mat 12
Bought this one for 350 PhP
Thoughts:
I'm actually 50-50 on this one. I like the shade. However, it comes off a little too peachy for me sometimes. I do like the natural finish it gives. It gives you this healthy hydrated lip look. It's not exactly matte. But that makes sense since it only claims to be Velvet Matte. It feels like a buttery kind of matte which I do not mind at all. It's a good product but I would not repurchase it even in a different shade.

Rating: 4/5

Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick Rich Ruby 691
Bought this one for 200 PhP
Thoughts:
This one's good! If I finish this one, I'd probably repurchase it. However, I don't think I will since I only use a minimal amount of this product for my lip gradient looks. Although this one's a steal, I'd have to say that it's not as strong as it looks. Mine broke! But yes, I can still work with it. I just wish that it would be more sturdy next time around. It's exactly creamy matte. It doesn't dry up my lips as well, but I would advice for you to use a lip balm for before applying this.

Colurette Lipstick in Bethany
Bought this one for 400+ PhP
Thoughts:
Okay! This, by far, has got to be one of my favorites! This lippie works as a lip balm too! It hydrates my lips and still looks creamy and matte. Perfect for a go-to nude lippie. It smells like some sort of pastry from a bakeshop. I honestly wanted to just eat it at times HAHAHAHA Although the performance is amazing (Shade, Finish, Hydration, etc.) I would probably not repurchase this for the sole reason that it's just too pricey for me. I'd rather find dupes of this from Maybelline's Creamy/Powder Matte line.

S W A T C H E S:

REVLOOOOOOOON

Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick & Lipcolor in Rouge à Lèvres and Rouge à Lèvres Liquide

S W A T C H E S:
(From top to bottom)
Rogue Rouge à Lèvres and Rouge à Lèvres Liquide

Thoughts:
I don't know the exact price because I only got these from my relatives. (I'm sorry huhu) But I checked it out online and saw that Lazada's selling it for 1,650 PhP (yoko na bes). Anyway, I had high hopes for these because it's Revlon (and LOL THE PRICE). However, it just became too matte for my lips! It came to the point where it just dries up completely and cracks. It did not work out for me. I don't know what my aunt does, but whenever she wears this, it seems to look fine! I have no idea if it depends on the skin type or what but unfortunately :((((( it did not work for me. Plus, it has a strong nail polish scent (or maybe that's just me). I think this would work just fine for people with thin lips, though.

Rating: 2/5

So there you have it, guys! I'll update this post if I'll receive new lip products from my relatives ('cause I probably won't buy another one soon. Yoko na HAHAHAHA).

Thank you for your time! Until my next review!

Review: Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay (Bentonite Clay)

Hi, guys! So here's my take on the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay (Bentonite Clay)!

Available for 400 Php
Available at Healthy Options

Packaging:
It comes in this huge white tub. The tub contains this Bentonite Clay powder that you have to mix with either water or some Apple Cider Vinegar.

Thoughts:

Pros:
  • Cleanses skin
  • Pulls out heavy metals and other gunk
  • Makes you feel refreshed
  • Rejuvenates skin

Cons:
  • THE SMELL
  • Tingling sensation (but it's pretty normal for bentonite clays)
  • Since it's not a ready-made clay mask, you'll have to make an extra effort to mix it with liquid to create the paste.

Final Verdict:

Would I repurchase? Yes. However, I would probably try other brands to see which will work best.

Review: Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner

Hi, guys! Here's my personal take on the Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner!

Available at for 89 PhP for 59 mL  (travel size)
Available at Healthy Options

Packaging:

The liquid product is contained in this clear plastic bottle similar to the size of the Celeteque Acne Solutions Oil Control Toner bottle.

Thoughts:

Pros:
  • Mattifies face (my fave pro)
  • Keeps face feeling clean
  • Hydrating (Ph level is balanced thru this toner)
  • Organic toner

Cons:
  • Has an awful smell! It claims to be fragrance free and yet it also claims to have this botanical scent (like girl wat? make up yo mind)
  • Smells like deteriorating dead fish
  • Doesn't get the extra dirt off my fact unlike the other toners I have used

Final Verdict:
Would I wear this under make up? I could but I would not since I ain't using this again.
Would I repurchase? Nooo huhu sorry. I had high expectations for this because of the positive reviews.

Review: Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Eye Serum

Introduction:
Available at for $58 (2872.74 PhP)
Available at Elizabeth Arden counters nationwide/ online

Packaging:

It comes in a pastel yellowish/dandelionish circular container.

Thoughts:

Pros:
Works well!
Makes the eye area more elastic
Heals crow's feet
Soothes under eye skin

Cons:
Since it's a serum, it's a little bit oily in consistency. (That's why I prefer using it before dozing off.)

Final Verdict:
Would I wear this under make up? Probably not. I fear that the serum itself might make me feel cakey.

This isn't even mine. It actually belongs to my mom since her sistergave it to her as a gift. I only tried about around 3 ceramide capsules to see how it'll improve my under eye area since I have the biggest eye bags in the world. So yeah, I probably wouldn't purchase since it's toooooooo expensive. I use the Celeteque Eye Brightening Cream as an alternative for this. Review: Celeteque Acne Solutions Oil Control Toner

As you all know, I have a very oily skin. So normally, I'd look for toners suitable for oily skin. This one is, by far, the best one for my skin. Not to mention that it's also a local brand.

Available at for 89 PhP (travel size)

I purchased mine at Watson's (look good, feel great. charot), but you can buy these at department stores like SM Dept. Store and Robinsons Dept. Store

Packaging:
Comes in a normal sturdy clear plastic bottle.

Thoughts:
Honestly, I tried the Dickinson's Witch Hazel Toner after this one. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as the Celeteque Acne Solutions Oil Control Toner.

I'm not a big fan of moisturizers since my skin easily breaks out when I use one. I just normally dab/spray toners now on my face as moisturizers lol.

Pros:
  • Cleanses skin
  • Doesn't make my face break out
  • Retains my skin's Ph level
  • Moisturizing (I use this as a moisturizer. I put it in a spray bottle and spritz it on my face.)

Cons:
  • None

Final Verdict:
Would I wear this under make up? Yupppp! I use it as a moisturizer too!
Would I repurchase? Yasssss! Unless I find I better one.

Review: Ganier Micellar Water

Introduction:
Available at for 89 Php for 125 mL
Available at leading at Watsons and departments stores (SM Dept. Store, Robinsons Dept. Store, etc)

Packaging:

To be honest, I'm fond of the clear plastic bottle packaging. :)

Thoughts:

I've used other micellar water such as the Maybelline Micellar Water, but this one really does a better job at removing make-up.

Pros:
  • Removes make up
  • Cleanses face

Cons:
  • Does not exactly make my face matte
  • Slight stinging when it gets inside the eye area (when I'm removing mascara)

Final Verdict:

Would I repurchase? YES. Unless a better version comes out.

Review: Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub

Introduction:
Available at for 200 + PhP at Watsons, and leading department stores in the Philippines (SM Department Store, Robinsons Department Store, etc.)

Packaging:

Typical tube packaging. Very convenient. A+++ HAHAHA

Thoughts:

Pros:
  • Okay, y'all! This product really works!
  • Eliminates blackheads little by little from the first use
  • Impressive performance
  • Hydrating

Cons:
  • I think this product was the one responsible for giving me pimples on the cheeks. I now only use this on my nose area to prevent further breakout.

Final Verdict:
Would I repurchase? Yes! It's a pretty good investment.
